Everytime I read a book by Author Dale Mayer, there are three things that i know for a 100% fact!
I know I am going to be in for an thrilling ride.
I know it is going to be an amazing epic read and
I know that each book is unique, different and will keep me spellbound!
Not to mention the WTH cliffhangers that her readers get with certain books of hers...
Or the book hangovers that we experience with every single read because they are so good I can't stop reading right up until the end! I also have a bad habit of getting into the book so deeply that I don't realize that I am at the end so I keep on flipping until it hits me that the end has come....
At which point I have so many feels from the book that I am an ball of pure emotion!
Tia and Dean's story is no different in the fact that it is amazing, it totally lives up to the Dale Mayer name but that is where the no different ends because It is a utterly and completely breathtakingly beautiful story.
It shows so much depth of emotion and personal strength both in Dean and Tia. More so with Tia because of her past and her present of running and hiding.
Dean gives Tia the strength she needs to stand and fight instead and fight is what she does. She fights for her future, herself, Dean and the family that she so desperately wants and needs!
And Tia gives Dean new meaning, hope and a love that will span a lifetime!
They both learn so much from each other and that is exactly like real life, for when you fall in love with someone, you give them all of you, hiding nothing from the one who holds the key to your soul.
Which is the kind of love Author Dale Mayer writes..

Dale Mayer always produces a thrilling ride in the Psychic visions novels. This one deals with Tia, a young girl with amazing abilities, who is institutionalized and then abandoned by her parents, as they don't know what to do with her. Many years later, she manages to escape the prison of the institution and from here the story becomes one of racing against the clock to save her life. I did feel the story ended just a bit abruptly, and would have liked to find out more about her parents, and also more details of the final two chapters.
The first Dale Mayer books I read were the beginning of this series! Was thrilled to see that it had continued on! Interesting how people seem to think that psychic ability can be removed/changed/ignored. Tia and Dean both were impacted by Tia's ability being all bound up. Am wondering what all she can do once she knows how to handle her skills. Hope there is more about the group that Stefan is forming of all the folks that he has helped with their psychic skills. Already ordered the next book!
I love this book! I think it might even be my favorite of the whole Psychic Visions Series. The characters were well written and the plot was engrossing. I can't even really describe it, I don't really have the words. I just wish there had been more at the end to explain more about how everything turned out. But other than that, I really have no complaints. I definitely recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense with a paranormal twist. I do strongly recommend however that you read the books IN ORDER so you understand more about the other characters and their stories and abilities.
I received an ARC from the author. Tia was given up by her parents because she has a special gift no one understands. She spends her life "hiding" in plain sight of everyone not sure who she can trust. Tia decides to try and meet with Stefan and ask for his help. But before they can meet, Tia gets "caught" by a mysterious feeling she can't break loose from and "dies". She eventually wakes up in a hospital and befriends a local police officer, Dean, who could be the most important person in her life as they battle the mystery of Tia's past. Can Dean help Tia or will he be "destroyed" by the mysterious power trying to overcome them? Who is trying to destroy Tia and why?
This 8th in the Psychic Visions series is true to form with the suspense and twisted bad guys and strong protagonists. Add to this the psychic theme overlaying the story, and it had my attention. Tia is running for her life after escaping years of torture in an experimental laboratory focusing on children with special powers. Dean, Portland detective, stops to help an unconscious woman and six weeks later is thrown into a fight for his son and a psychic woman while investigating the deaths/disappearances of children. As usual, Ms. Mayer holds my attention from start to finish. She continues to bring in personalities from previous books in the series that lends believability and connection to the story. Character development and unusual curves to the story line are strong reasons for me to keep reading this series.
Sorry but I didn't like this book very much. The plot didn't hold my attention at all. The ending was totally anticlimactic and frankly stupid. Everyone in the book is outlandishly psychic but out of control or unknowing. The author must have told us three hundred times that the heroine was being hunted, on the run, in danger. OK I got it already! Stephan is becoming redundant. I am getting tired of him being the omnipresent expert on everything and everyone psychic in the world. Get back to regular psychic abilities that you don't have to spend half the book explaining to your readers. Visions, dreams, esp, regular stuff that anyone can understand...then build a story or mystery around that ability. I probably won't buy another of this series. It would have to be plotted a lot better than this one was.
